Peace returns as Kashmir sees disruption-free academic session after 3 decades: Kavinder | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 20: Figuring out one of the vital parameters to gauge the situation in the Valley, senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta on Tuesday said that time is ripe to declare peace in Kashmir as the region has witnessed disruption-free academic session after over thirty years. In a statement issued to media persons, the former Deputy Chief Minister said that studies of the students have suffered a lot due to frequent lockdowns, strike calls and other incidents inimical to peace in the last over three decades. He said that policy adopted by BJP Government led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Kashmir has finally given the desired results and it is the time when government can declare that normalcy has returned in the Valley and people who have left the 'paradise on earth' due to deteriorating situation can plan to return as things have become conducive and peace is the new norm in J&K. The senor BJP leader said that it is a great achievement that after three decades Kashmir region witnessed full academic session as the sincere efforts made by the Modi Government to restore normalcy have given the desired results. The BJP stalwart leader said that people living in the Valley have also started endorsing the fact that the situation has improved considerably as they are coming forward to support the initiatives taken by the Government at the Centre in carrying out development unlike earlier days when no one dared to utter a word in praise of the government or come in support.
