Early Times Report JAMMU, Dec 22: The Pre-Primary wing of Jodhamal Public School, celebrated its annual sports day with great zeal and enthusiasm in which students of classes Pre Nursery, LKG and UKG participated. Trustee of the institution, Nandan Kuthiala, the Principal, Dr. Deep Khare and Vice Principal, Shefali Sanwal were present to grace the event. The event was inaugurated by the Deputy Superintendent of Police, Albeena Malik by releasing tri-color balloons in the air. Javed Ahmed, Dy. SP (Deputy Superintendent of Police) was the Chief Guest at the Annual Sports meet. The event began with skating, where the zooming skaters went buzzing on their roller skates and showcased their skills of balancing and racing side by side. The UKG coral's toddlers mesmerised the audience by their moves in a Zumba dance. The day witnessed a series of competitive events following innovative themes right from play groups to UKG. Prince and Princess race, Drag the ball, Count and Run, Bunny and Gems race, Smiley Race, Three leg race, Giraffe race and balloon bursting competition were some of the major highlights of the event. Tiny tots showcased competitiveness and performed very well in each of the events little kids participated and performed in various events with full vigor. The day concluded with some action packed races for pre primary school staff, and tug of war wherein all the teachers actively participated so as to demonstrate the importance of sports and games in life. The Chief Guest, Javed Ahmed was spell bound by the enthusiasm and sportsmanship of not only the little ones, but also their mentors. Dr. Deep Khare, Principal of Jodhamal Public School appreciated the hard work put in by Neetu Johri (Coordinator), Dolly Chandhoke, Amita Charak, Vinti Bhasin, Priyanka Verma, Gagandeep Kour, Preeti Puri, Suvidha Anand, Anjali Gupta, Shriya, teachers of the pre-primary wing and the CCA Coordinator, Deepali Puri in making this event a grand success. The Sports department teachers who helped in organizing the meet were Vishal Samrat, Abhishek, Ritish Jamwal, Romesh Chander, Vindo Dogra, Pooja Bassan, Aruna Jamwal, Ruchi and Geetanjali. The events of the sports day was structured in a way to methodically test the physical and mental abilities of the students. |
