Apni Party leaders stopped at Sunderbani | | | Early Times Report SUNDERBANI, Jan 2: Apni Party leaders who proceeded to Rajouri to express solidarity with the terror attack victim family members Monday were stopped by the administration in Sunderbani. They were not allowed to meet the family at Dangri village in Rajouri and attend the last rites of the terror victims. The Apni Party leaders consisted of Provincial Secretary, Dr Rohit Gupta, Additional General Secretary, Arun Kumar Chibber and Apni Trade Union J&K President, Ajaz Kazmi. The leaders left Jammu to express their solidarity with the terror victims who lost their loved ones in Dangri village, Rajouri. However, they were not allowed to proceed further by the authorities at Sunderbani. Addressing a press conference in Sunderbani, the Provincial Secretary, Dr Rohit Gupta said that "We were going to express our sympathy to the victims' families. But we were not allowed to meet the family members. As a human it is our right to stand with the victims of terror." Apni Party Additional General Secretary, Arun Chibber said that the Govt should take serious note of such incidents and take appropriate measures to prevent such acts in future. He appealed to the Lt Governor that some days back two civilians were killed in Rajouri and now this terror act has happened in which five people have got killed. Meanwhile, J&K Apni Trade Union President, Ajaz Kazmi also condemned the terror attack and demanded exemplary punishment for the accused persons. He appealed to the people to maintain communal harmony and peace and allow the security forces and authorities to work for the peace and strengthen the security in the region. |
