Early Times Report SUNDERBANI, Jan 7: Congress Today held a strong protest rally at Sunderbani against terrorist incidents demanded strong measures to curb terrorism. Led by Ravinder Sharma Former MLC and Chief Spokesperson JKPCC the protestors raised slogans against the LG administation for its failure to check minority killings besides adopting anti farmers land policy, depriving them of the agriculture lands under their occupation . A large number of Congress and Youth Congress workers took out a protest rally în the main bazars of Sunderbani raising slogans against terrorism, & Pakistan and castigating the government for failng to protect innocents especially minorities in Jammu and Kashmir. Addressing an impressive rally în the town Sharma strongly condemned the innocent killings în Dangri, he questioned why minorities are more unsafe under BJP regime. A large number of Kashmiri Pandits and Jammu employees have shifted to Jammu due to fear of being killed following targetted killings. He demanded strong measures to check selective killings. The Congress leader also took strong exception to the anti farmers land policy and orders of LG administration a? the farmers are being forcibly evicted of the state and custodian lands under their cultivation for decades, since 1947. Strongly opposing such anti farmers policies of BJP government and LG administration, senior Congress Leader said that party shall launch a strong "Bhumi Bachao Andolan" to protect the poor and marginal farmers. He said earlier governments gave and allotted lands to landless, small and marginal farmers to settle them but the UT administration is uprooting and evicting people without any fair land policy. He cautioned the people to stand United and warned the government against any coercive action, against farmers.
