NSS Unit of Govt GLDM Degree College, celebrates National Youth Day

KATHUA, Jan 12: NSS Unit of Government GLDM Degree College Hiranagar under the patronage of worthy Principal, Dr. Pragya Khanna celebrated National Youth Day, 2023, with an aim to enlighten the youth through the teachings and ideology of Swami Vivekananda, under the banner of Azadi Ka Amrut Mahotsav.
The philosophy of Swami ji and the ideals for which he lived and worked is a great source of inspiration for the Indian Youth. "The National Youth Festival is one of the biggest excercises in social cohesion and intellectual and social integration. It aims to bring diverse cultures of India and integrate them into a united thread of, Ek Bharat, Shrestha Bharat". On this day a seminar was organized on the theme- Viksit Yuva Viksit Bharat'. The theme clearly emphasizes the importance of building a progressive youth population that will eventually hold the baton of success for India in the future. National Youth Day is celebrated to encourage the youth to ignite the flame of knowledge, rational thinking, and religious empathy in them. About 45 NSS volunteers participated in the seminar. Volunteers who presented their views on the theme were Vivek, Mansi, Sahil, Manjeet and Riya. The Proceedings of the program were conducted by Prof. Rakesh Sharma,NSS Program Officer.Other faculty members who participated in the seminar were Prof. Gurdyal, Dr. Davinder Kour, Dr. Anju Rani, Prof. Kiran Thapa, Prof. Manjot Singh, Dr. Chinky Sangral, Dr. Usha Rani and Dr. Neeru Anand. The formal vote of thanks was presented by Prof. Rakesh Sharma.
