SRINAGAR, Jan 22: Jammu and Kashmir Police on Sunday claimed to have arrested a drug peddler and recovered Charas from him in Baramulla district.
Police said during checking at Gundbal Palhallan, a suspicious person coming from Naidkhai towards Hamrey, upon noticing the police party tried to flee from the spot but was apprehended tactfully.
During his personal search, 104 grams Charas and 1800 grams of Charas Powder like substance was recovered from him.
The drug peddler was identified as Bakhtiyar Ahmad Bhat a resident of Buchoo Palhallan, District Baramulla was taken into custody.
A Case under NDPS Act registered in Police Station Pattan and investigation set in motion, police added. |
