Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) holds a rally to promote cleanliness in Border village | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, Jan 31: The Central Bureau of Communication, Ministry of Information and Broadcasting Govt of India, Field Office Kathua organised an impressive programme at govt Hr. Sec School Treva in Zone Arnia. A large number of audience including community members, P.R.I Members, community leaders and officers from different departments attended the programme. The programme was started with a welcome song presented by tyhe students of the school followed by a welcome address by Rajesh Sharma Incharge CBC Kathua/Jammu. In his welcome address Sharma threw light on various activities undertaken by CBC across India and especially in J&K, Ladakh. He urged the audience to keep their surroundings clean and tidy. Talking about the initiative " Swach Vidyalaya" he said that this is a special initiative in order to find the tangible effect of this programme to see the school clean after the drive. He mentioned the entry of India in to "Amrit Kaal" and efforts Indian should make to realise the reality of emerging India. In her address B.D.O Arnia Rajni Bala said that these kind of programmes are important in awaring the common masses. She further added that almost all the programmes and schemes of rural development department needs to be publicised in this manner. BDO issued number of instructions to her staff for cleanliness and development of the area. Balbir Kour sarpanch of panchayats Treva gave threadbare information about the developmental works being carried out in her panchayats. She urged e audience to follow the civic sense and keep the surroundings clean. Later a rally was flagged off by the BDO and sarpanch which passed through the lanes and streets of the Treva village spreading the slogan of clean India. The programme culminated with an activity "Swach Vidyalaya", felicitations and light refreshment. |
