DC listens, redresses grievances of people at Nagseni | | | Early Times Report
KISHTWAR, Feb 1: Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kishtwar, Dr. Devansh Yadav today presided over weekly Block Diwas programme at block headquarter Nagseni. The program witnessed active participation of people and PRIs from the panchayat Bagna, Kwar, Dool, Cherji, Piyas and other. The visiting delegations of public and the PRIs apprised the DC about developmental needs of their areas viz. Road connectivity, augmentation of water supply and repair of irrigation canals. Officers on the spot responded to the queries and demands of people pertaining to their departments. The DC, after giving patient hearing, addressed some of the immediate nature of grievances on the spot. He directed officers to ensure prompt and speedy redressal of issues and demands of people. He stressed upon the Gram Panchayats to formulate the Gram Panchayat Development Plan (GPDP) as per the local needs of the community. He asked gram panchayats to project the major works in Gram Plans which can be visible on ground and benefit maximum number of people. Terming education as the potent tool in the hands of the coming generation, he encouraged the ST parents to send Out of School Children (OOSC) to Schools to secure their future. He assured the ST parents that mobile teachers will be deployed in coming academic session for migratory schools. Deputy Commissioner urged the masses to avail the educational facilities being provided by government. Referring to the initiatives taken in the district for improving the educational scenario, the Deputy Commissioner informed that district administration, in collaboration with the premier online coaching institutes of the country, is going to provide quality education through online interactive coaching to help medical and engineering aspirants to crack competitive exams. He exhorted the parents to avail the golden opportunity for the benefit of their children. Meanwhile, the Deputy Commissioner also stressed upon the Gram Panchayats to identify the sanitary workers as each Panchayat has received Rs 5000 amount for solid waste segregation and management. He asked PRIs and concerned officers to expedite the identification of land for construction of panchayat sheds. BDC Chairman Mohd Ashraf; DDC member, Faisal Ahmed; ACD, Atul Dutt Sharma; Tehsildar Nagseni, Majid Jehangir; BDO Anjil Kumar and field functionaries of various departments also attended the programme. Later, the DC also visited the spot identified for construction of ST Hostel in block Nagseni and also passed necessary directions to the concerned. Block Diwas meetings were also held in other Blocks where concerned officers listened to issues and grievances of people.
