| Police arrests drug peddler with cannabis | | | Early Times Report
SRINAGAR, Feb 17: Police on Friday claimed to have arrested a drug peddler and recovered cannabis from his house in Jammu and Kashmir's Pulwama district.
Police said on specific information that one person identified as Shakeel Ahmad Ganai, a resident of Tumlihaal, is indulging in drug peddling to the youths and has concealed narcotic substances in his residential house.
Acting upon the information Police party from Police Station Litter along with Magistrate raided the said house and recovered 2 bags containing 10.5kgms of cannabis powder during the searches.
The accused person has been arrested and a Case under Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substance (NDPS) Act has been registered and investigation set into motion.
Police said strict & legal actions against Drug Peddlers will continue in future as well. |
