Early Times Report SRINAGAR, Feb 22: Summer like weather conditions prevailed in Srinagar and its adjoining areas on Wednesday, officials said. The Meteorological Department has predicted mainly dry weather to continue in Jammu and Kashmir during the next 24 hours. Bright sun appeared in Srinagar with mostly clear sky representing summer like weather conditions. Tourists staying in the houseboats and hotels at fashionable Boulevard road on the bank of Dal Lake were seen basking under the sun enjoying the fresh atmosphere. Srinagar, the summer capital of Jammu and Kashmir, recorded the maximum temperature at 15.7 degree Celsius on Wednesday which was 5.4 degree Celsius above normal. The minimum temperature was also 2.8 degree Celsius above normal against 0.9 degree Celsius during this period of the season, MeT office said. Qazigund on Srinagar-Jammu National highway recorded a maximum of 12.8 degree Celsius, Kokernag 9.8 degree Celsius.
