DC holds weekly Block Diwas proceedings at Panthal

REASI, Feb 22: Deputy Commissioner Reasi Babila Rakwal today visited Block Development Office Panthal and listened to scores of public issues and demands at the weekly Block Diwas programme.
The PRI members and general public of the area put forth their issues and demands seeking Cleanliness of Amrit Sarowar Panthal, Maintenance of Solar Lights, Assessment Camps for Physically Handicapped persons, provision of Electricity poles, Up-dating of Ration Cards, Installation of Biometric in remaining Schools, enforcing display of Rate list in shops, Maintenance of Old Amrit Sarowars, Green track for Devi-Pindi Temple, maintenance of School buildings, Fresh BPL Survey.
DDC Panthal, Rajinder Mengi demanded adequate staff in schools, up-dating of MGNREGA job Cards, establishment of PHC at Panthal and Updation of BPL cards.
He sought to focus on empowerment of three tier Panchayati Raj System and its role in development of the area. He stressed on PRIs to work in tandem with district administration in resolving the public grievances.
The PRIs as well as the general public hailed the district administration for organising awareness camps to issue inheritance mutation.
Addressing the gathering, the DC called for effective implementation of Central Sponsored Schemes and UT Capex budget works to benefit the general public.
After patiently hearing the demands of PRIs and public the DC asked ZEO to conduct inspection of Schools and depute Teachers to the Schools facing shortage.
Among others, DDC Panthal Rajinder Mengi, ADDC Jyoti Salathia, SDM Katra, Angrej Singh, ACD, Anirudh Rai, ACP, CHO, CEO, CAHO, XENs, BDO, Raies Mir and other district and sectoral officers.
