Early Times Report JAMMU, Mar 10: Two Hindi books titled 'Benam Rishtey', a novel and 'Raktam Taabdav', a poetry collection, authored by Bhupinder Singh Raina, a well known writer of Jammu & Kashmir were released by Hindi Sahitya Mandal (HSM), Jammu in a function organized by HSM-J at the KL Saigal Auditorium, Writers' Club, Cultural Academy, Jammu today. Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn, former Additional Secretary JKAACL, was the chief guest on this occasion whereas Dr. Jitendra Udhampuri, former Director All India Radio, Jammu presided over the programme. Bhupinder Raina and Sanjiv Bhasin, Vice President, HSM-J shared the dais. A large number of intellectuals and writers attended the programme. The programme started with the formal welcome by Dr. Pawan Khajuria, Vice- President, HSM-J. Two papers on the merits and critical evaluation of the released 'Raktam Taandav', a poetry book and 'Benam Rishtey', Hindi translation (by Rupendra Raj, a well known Hindi writer from Chhaishgarh, of the novel with the same title written in Punjabi), and edited by Hameet Kaur, were presented in the programme, by Dr. R L Bhat and Dr. Chanchal Bhasin. While speaking on this occasion, Dr. Jitendra Udhampuri appreciated the poetical and fiction work contributed by Bhupinder Singh Raina. He also appreciated the translation work of 'Benam Rishtey' from Punjabi to Hindi by Rupendra Raj. He said that these works filled with ides, emotions of humantarien experiences, and poetic values rich in metaphorical context. In his address, Dr. Arvinder Singh Amn complimented Bhupinder Singh Raina for creating poetry released to the exodus, and the pains of the Kashmiri people due to their exodus due to extremism in the Valley. He added that Bhupinder Singh Raina being a Punjabi writer has come forward with force in the field of Hindi poetry which has a universal appeal in its content & appeal. Earlier Bhupinder Singh Raina and some of the writers expressed their views on the books released. The proceedings of the programme were conducted by Uma Sharma, Literary Secretary, HSM, J.
