Firm policy helping India | | | The firm Kashmir policy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi led regime has sent a clear message to the adversaries that no one will be allowed to interfere in the internal matters of India. Soon after taking over as the Prime Minister of the country in 2014, Modi made it clear to Pakistan that talks and terror cannot go together. During the past nine years, India has remained firm on its commitment towards “zero tolerance” to terrorism. The 2016 surgical strikes and air strikes carried out by the Indian Air Force jets on terror camps deep inside the Pakistan territory in Balakot drive home a point that if terrorists indulge in any misadventure they will be given a befitting reply. India has changed in PM Modi’s rule as it has given up its image of being a soft nation. While addressing the 54th Raising Day Parade of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) recently, Union Home Minister, Amit Shah, asserted that the government has successfully handled the challenges posed to the country’s internal security over the past nine years, and will continue its zero-tolerance policy towards terrorism. Referring to J&K Shah stated that there has been a significant decrease in violence in Kashmir, whereas insurgency is also dipping in the Northeast, and areas affected by Left Wing Extremism. In recent years terror related incidents have declined and the number of people involved in terrorist activities has also gone down. Many have given up the arms and have joined the national mainstream. Besides security forces, investigating agencies like National Investigation Agency (NIA) have played a vital role in breaking the backbone of terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir. They have blocked the funding channels of the terrorists and have ensured that no Hawala money reaches J&K through any route. The tough policies framed by the PM Modi led regime to tackle the threat to internal security of the country have been wiped out and the hostile neighbours i.e. Pakistan and China are also aware that they cannot take India for granted. The Government of India (GoI) has drawn the line and if anyone dares to cross it, he will have to pay a heavy price for it. |
