Adorable Wish
4/16/2023 10:32:30 PM

Recently, a video of a minor girl, Seer Naaz, student of the Government High School in Lohai-Malhar, in Kathua district took the internet by storm.
The little girl voiced an adorable wish to Prime Minister Narendra Modi— “Please Modi-ji, ek achhi si school banwa do na (Please Modi-ji, build a nice school for us).”
After the video surfaced on the internet complaining about the condition of the school Principal Secretary Education Alok Kumar verified her claims saying the condition of the school, as narrated in the video is “not far from the truth.”
A minor student highlighting the pathetic plight of the school is an indication of how J&K’s generation-next is changing. They are aware about their rights and are demanding the facilities they are entitled to. It’s a welcome change.
A little girl reaching out to Prime Minister Modi with her complaint about her school being in shambles is a sign that children are aware of the fact that they can reach the highest office and the Prime Minister would listen to them and address their concerns. In Prime Minister Modi, India has found a leader, who is always available for his people.
In May 2021, a video of a 6-year-old Kashmiri girl sharing her plight on lots of homework went viral on social media.
The student introduced herself as a six-year-old girl. She was seen comparing the burden of her classes and homework on a student of her age to that of senior students and asking PM Modi to give her the reason for the same. Further, she went on to tell the PM that she attends back-to-back classes from 10 am to 2 pm which adds to the pile of homework.
After her video appeared, the J&K Education Department directed the schools to reduce the burden on students.
Recently, the School Education Department issued a circular directing the schools not to give homework to students till class second.
Similarly Principal Secretary Education has acknowledged that the complaint of Seerat about her school not being upto the mark is genuine. It means that her school would be renovated.
Seer Naz has become a voice of hundreds of students and her 5-minute video could be a beginning of the change.
