| Eid-Ul-Fitr arrangements finalized at Udhampur | | |

UDHAMPUR, Apr 17: To finalize the necessary arrangements in connection with ensuing Eid-Ul- Fitr festival, a meeting of District Officers and prominent citizens of the district was held today under the Chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Udhampur, Joginder Singh Jasrotia here in the Conference Hall DC Office Complex.
Various issues related to the celebration of Eid-ul-Fitr especially the availability of water supply at the designated places of Eid Prayers, uninterrupted power supply, Traffic Management, Checking of rates, security arrangements and proper sanitation during the celebration were discussed in the meeting. The ADC issued directions to the concerned department to ensure uninterrupted water and power supply on the occasion; besides asking the police to make proper security arrangements around the Eid-Gah and Masjids during the festival. Traffic department was also directed to deploy an adequate number of traffic personnel at traffic jam prone places. The Chief Medical officer was directed to provide Medicare facilities and deploy a medical team at Eid- Gah and Masjids during the festival. The CEO Municipality was directed to ensure proper sanitation arrangements in the towns and at the Eid-Gahs. The FCS&CA was asked to check the quality and rates of eatables in the market during the festival. Among others, Additional SP, Anwar Ul-Haq, CMO and other officers of different departments besides eminent citizens were present on the occasion. |
