Early Times Report

DODA, Apr 28: Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Paul Mahajan, today took stock of the functioning of the educational institution in the district as he interacted with Principals, Headmasters, teachers and students of schools through virtual mode.
During the interaction, the DC directed the teachers, other staff and HoIs to maintain punctuality and show full dedication towards their duties. He said that the education sector being the backbone of human resource development of the country is the top priority of the Government.
The DC directed the Chief Education Officer to switch over to the technology based teaching system in all schools from Secondary level onwards.
He asked to promote the use of ICT labs in schools for imparting quality education to the students of far flung and remote areas where the services of the highly qualified teachers cannot be physically provided.
To cope up with the shortage of teachers in the schools, Heads of institutions were asked to rationalize the time tables of teaching staff in such a way so as to utilize their services to the maximum level.
“Wherever the subject specific teachers are not available, the resource from the nearest schools shall be utilized as per the convenience,” he directed.
The DC issued strict directions to the principals and headmasters to enroll the left out employees on the “ADHBHUT DODA” portal for marking their daily attendance in the schools. “Any lapse on this count shall be dealt strictly” he warned.
He further directed to create a separate Whatsapp group of all institutions for sharing important ideas and innovative teaching and learning methods for achieving the highest standards in education.
For more effective teaching learning and proper utilization of available infrastructure, the DC stressed the need for physical, human and student audit of all schools.
The Schools were further asked to hold talent hunt competitions at cluster, Zone and District level for identifying and sponsoring the brilliant students for coaching for professional courses.
Regarding taking part in Swachh Bharat Mission, the DC directed to motivate students for collection of plastic and polythene from houses and nearby localities as a voluntary service for the nation. Lastly, the HoIs were asked to conduct random checking and testing to keep check on use of drugs by the students.
The meeting was also attended by ADDC Doda, CPO and CEO Doda
