| Heroin recovered, 1 Drug Peddler Arrested by Kathua police | | | Early Times Report
KATHUA, Apr 30: To eradicate the menace of Drugs from the society and take stringent action against Drug Peddlers within the district, Kathua Police recovered/seized approx. 5.46 grams of Heroin (Chitta) like narcotics alongwith 01 person was arrested on the spot.
On 30.04-2023 a Police team led by Insp. Vijay Kotwal SHO PS Lakhanpur under the supervision of DySP DAR Kathua Sh. Subash Chander during routine naka/patrolling duty at Golden Gate lakhanpur area apprehended one person namely Gurpreet Singh @ babbal S/o Harbajan Singh R/o Ward No. 12 Kathua.During checking approx. 5.46 grams of Heroin (chitta) like narcotics was recovered from his possession.
Thereafter all the recovered narcotics substance was seized and one person was arrested. In this regard a case FIR No.44 /2023 U/S 8/21/22/ NDPS Act has been registered at Police Station Lakhanpur. Further investigation is underway. |
