BJP district unit pays obeisance at Narsingh Dham Ghagwal | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 5: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) District President Jammu South Rekha Mahajan along with the team of District Jammu South paid obeisance on the holy occasion of lord Narsingh Jayanti at Ghagwal Temple in Kathua District and prayed for the peace and prosperity of the Union Territory. Narasimha Jayanti is a Hindu festival that celebrates the birth anniversary of Narasimha who is considered by devotees as an incarnation of Vishnu. It is observed on the 14th day of the Hindu month of Vaishakha, which falls between April and May in the Gregorian calendar. While interacting with the devotees, Rekha Mahajan said that these occasions and festivals serve as a great opportunity for people to come together and celebrate the festivals and the spirit of Indian culture. District President Jammu South Rekha Mahajan added that the celebration of such festivals brings people together and cements the bonds of brotherhood and communal harmony. She hoped that this auspicious occasion will usher Jammu and Kashmir in peace. Rekha Mahajan said Narasimha Jayanti is commemorated as the day of Narasimha's birth anniversary, symbolizing the victory of good over evil and the triumph of faith over adversity. She said It is believed that worshipping Lord Narasimha on this day can grant protection, prosperity, and blessings to devotees. She said the festival is celebrated with great enthusiasm and devotion across India and is particularly significant in the southern parts of the country. |
