Kavinder calls on Maharashtra Assembly Speaker Rahul Narwekar | | | agencies MUMBAI, May 10: Senior BJP leader and former deputy chief minister Kavinder Gupta on Wednesday met Rahul Narwekar, Speaker Maharashtra State Assembly and discussed various aspects of political spectrum in J&K and the development carried out by the Centre after the end of Article 370. During the interaction, Kavinder said that BJP has emerged as the most popular party in the UT of J&K as the so-called Kashmir centric parties have been exposed badly in the last few years and people today have rejected all those leaders who believed in dynastic politics. Without naming the parties, Kavinder told Narwekar about the ways and means by which the parties that ruled J&K in the last over 70 years satiated their vested interests without bothering about the sufferings of the common people. He said that the hype made by NC, PDP and even Congress over communal politics in J&K is all part of the deception tactics by these entities as there is no such issue in J&K especially the Valley because people in the entire UT have openly started saying that for the last over 7 decades, the parties in power have looted the resources in Kashmir and gave two hoots to the plight of masses as they were the sufferers of all time. Kavinder said that after 2014, the people have reposed faith in the Modi Government and today each and every single soul is availing the benefits of welfare schemes which have been crafted without any discrimination or prejudice over religion or region. Kavinder also praised the Speaker of the Maharashtra Assembly to J&K for holding such a coveted position, which requires acumen, patience and wisdom to handle difficult situations without getting swayed. Meanwhile, members of Muslim community felicitated Kavinder during his visit to Ullhas Nagar in Mumbai. To the surprise of everyone, the Muslim brethren raised slogans of Jai Shri Ram on the arrival of the BJP leader from far off J&K UT. During the interaction, the prominent Muslim community members told Kavinder that all communities live in harmony in Ullhas Nagar, and they have never heard of any kind of communal tension in the region. |
