Fake Results
5/11/2023 11:01:29 PM

The Central Board of School Education (CBSE) is likely to announce results of the examinations held for class Xth and XIIth in the coming days.
Students across the country, including J&K, are eagerly waiting for the results to come.
As the news about the CBSE announcing the results has started making rounds, a few fake websites are creating confusion by claiming that results have been announced. During the past few days these websites have cheated many parents and students by asking them to transfer Rs 500/ to Rs 1000/ to get the results. Recently, a fake letter stating that CBSE board class X and XII exam results are to be announced on May 11 went viral on social media platforms. The letter featured a fake signature of CBSE’s director Joseph Emmanuel.
The CBSE officials had to issue a clarification that the letter is not genuine as the board never releases the dates in advance. It said on the official websites, the students will have to enter their roll number, admit card ID, school number and date of birth by clicking on the direct link. The result once displayed can be downloaded by the students.
One can understand that students and their parents are anxiously waiting for results but they need to remain patient and wait for the CBSE to announce the results. They need to understand that scamsters and cheaters are on the prowl and are waiting to trap them.
Pertinently, during the past few years many people across the country have been cheated by the fake online education companies. It’s high time for people to understand that online scams have become a part of the internet and one has to be cautious and show presence of mind rather than getting swayed away. When the CBSE would announce the results it would make an official announcement about it through the recognized media outlets and no money will be charged from the students. These are basics which everyone needs to understand.
The online fraudsters can never succeed till the people encourage them by falling in their traps. People have to help themselves by not responding to the fake news and fake links. If people exhibit sensibility no one can cheat them.
