| Mahajan Sabha pays tribute to Late Prof Chaman Lal Gupta | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, May 18: Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha paid a heartfelt tribute to Late Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta, a prominent leader and visionary of Jammu and Kashmir. Prof. Gupta, known for his unwavering dedication to the betterment of society, served as the Chief Patron of Jammu Central Mahajan Sabha and made significant contributions as an MLA, MP, and Union Minister. He fearlessly hoisted the National Flag at Lal Chowk during the height of militancy in 1990 and remained steadfast in his political ideology throughout his life. Prof. Chaman Lal Gupta played a pivotal role in establishing village Defense Committees and fought against terrorism and disruptive forces in the region. The Sabha members expressed their deep respect for his exceptional social services and called for the government to honor his memory by erecting statues in prominent places and conferring him with posthumous awards. The event concluded with a two-minute silence and a community lunch served as a token of respect. |
