Early Times Report SAMBA, May 18: Samba Police, under the guidance of SSP Samba Benam Tosh, achieved another significant success by arresting a notorious drug peddler and seizing approximately 40 grams of opium and cash amounting to Rs. 20,180. The arrested individual has been identified as Peer Mohd., resident of Badheri, Samba. A case has been registered under the NDPS Act, and further investigation is underway. The operation was carried out by a dedicated police team led by Incharge Police Post Supwal Divya Bharti, SI Ram Paul, and ASI Balbir Kumar, under the supervision of Incharge District NDPS Team Sumit Sharma, SHO Police Station Samba Rajeshwar Singh, Deputy SP Garu Ram Bhardwaj, and Additional SP Samba Surinder Choudhary. This arrest comes as part of a special drive against narco smugglers, suppliers, and peddlers initiated by Senior Superintendent of Police Samba Benam Tosh. In the past four months, a total of 39 notorious narco-suppliers have been apprehended in Samba district, and rigorous efforts are being made to apprehend other top narco-suppliers involved in the illegal drug trade. |
