Early Times Report JAMMU, May 19: The Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region, organized a comprehensive First-Aid and Drug Addiction Awareness Program at British International School in Sainik Colony, Jammu on May 19, 2023. The program aimed to educate the school's faculty members and students about essential first-aid techniques and the risks associated with drug addiction. Dr. Asia Noor, along with Kanchan Devi and Ravi Kant Magotra, conducted training sessions on the basics of first-aid, trauma response, bleeding management, various types of bandages, and practical demonstrations of Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and the transportation of injured individuals. In addition, the program placed significant emphasis on raising awareness about drug intake and its severe consequences. Sat Pal Sharma, Hony. Secretary of IRCS Jammu Region, addressed the school's faculty members and students, shedding light on the detrimental impact of drug addiction on individuals, families, and communities. He stressed the importance of providing affordable and high-quality treatment for those affected by addiction, offering compassionate care to guide them towards recovery and reintegration into society. |
