RAJOURI, May 23: Nehru Yuva Kendra Rajouri, a ministry under the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India, successfully organized the District Level Yuva Utsav at Government PG College in Rajouri. The event was held under the theme "Panch Pran of Amritkaal." The primary objective of the program was to celebrate the "Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav" (75 years of Independence) by promoting youth participation and forming a community of young artists, writers, photographers, and orators under the guidance of experts. Similar programs are being organized across all 623 districts of the country by the Ministry of Youth Affairs and Sports, Government of India. Nitin Hangloo, District Youth Officer, provided an overview of the program's objectives. He explained that the one-day event consisted of five different events and competitions, including the Young Writers Contest (Poetry), Young Artists Camp (Painting), Mobile Photography Contest, Declamation Contest, and Cultural Fest - Group Folk Dance. The aim was to provide a platform for the talented youth of the district to showcase their skills. Dr. Shamim Ahmed Azad, Principal of Government PG College Rajouri, inaugurated the event by lighting the ceremonial lamp. The cultural festival was judged by Pervaiz Malik, Hamid Malik, and Dr. Zakir, while Dr. Saima Aslam, Dr. Mohd Kousar Ali Jafri, and Abdul Hamid evaluated the participants of the Declamation Contest. Madhu Sharma, Rajinder Sharma, and Sanjeev Sharma served as jury members for the Painting category, while Shiv Dutta and Rohit Sharma judged the Photography competition. In the poetry category, the jury members were Vishal Singh, Dr. Zakir Bhall si, and Rafaqat Hussain. Over 300 young boys and girls from different corners of the district showcased their talents in various categories. Students from various educational institutions in the district actively participated in the event. Cultural teams from remote areas of the district added vibrancy to the program. |
