Kishtwar Administration Prepares for Shri Hudh Mata Trisandhiya Yatra, Dachhan

KISHTWAR, May 23: The District Administration Kishtwar has initiated the arrangements for the upcoming Shri Hudh Mata Trisandhiya Yatra, Dachhan, which is set to commence on June 20, 2023. In a joint meeting held today, Deputy Commissioner Dr. Devansh Yadav, along with line departments and members of the Shri Hud Mata Trisandhiya Yatra Managing Committee, discussed the requirements of facilities and logistics to ensure the convenience of pilgrims. The meeting witnessed the participation of Additional Deputy Commissioner/CEO Kishtwar Development Authority, Inderjeet Singh Parihar; ASP, Rajinder Singh; SDM Marwah, Dr. Mohsin Raza; DIO Kishtwar, Kuldeep Kumar; Tehsildars of Kishtwar and Dachhan, and representatives of the Shri Hud Mata Trisandhiya Yatra Managing Committee.
During the meeting, the committee members presented various demands, including infrastructure upgradation and the provision of basic amenities such as drinking water, shelters, and toilets. The pilgrimage is scheduled to commence on June 20, 2023, from Kathua in Jammu, reaching Kishtwar on June 22. From Kishtwar, the pilgrims will proceed towards the Bhawan, with scheduled halts at various locations along the route leading to Dachhan. The Deputy Commissioner issued necessary instructions to the concerned officers, including Tehsildars, AD FCS & CA, and Executive Engineers, to ensure all arrangements are in place well ahead of the Yatra.
The ASP Kishtwar informed about the security arrangements and traffic management plan that have been devised to ensure the convenience and safety of the pilgrims throughout the pilgrimage. The Executive Engineers and Wildlife authorities assured that the repair work on the Bridle Path from Dhanagradh to Hud Mata Bhawan and from Soundar to Loharna via Hourri Nallah will be prioritized and completed before the Yatra commences.
The CEO of Kishtwar Development Authority, Inderjeet Singh Parihar, assured the availability of an adequate number of tents at Gowkooth and the base camp at Kaikooth Hudh Mata Bhawan during the Yatra.
As part of the arrangements, Kishtwar Development Authority (KDA) will organize a grand jagran at Shri Gori Shankar Mandir Sarkoot, adding to the spiritual and devotional experience of the pilgrims. KDA will ensure cleanliness, decoration, and lighting of the Shri Gori Shankar Mandir premises, creating a serene ambiance for the jagran. The Chief Medical Officer (CMO) was directed to deploy doctors and paramedical staff at the Bhawan during the Yatra, from June 20 to June 30. Additionally, the deployment of the SDRF team at the base camps and Bhawan was emphasized to ensure emergency response readiness. The CEO of KDA and the District Information Officer (DIO) Kishtwar were tasked with promoting the linkage between the Yatra and the tourism potential of the area. This includes highlighting offbeat destinations in Dachhan Tehsil and showcasing the region's rich culture during the Yatra, contributing to the overall development of the area. Speaking at the meeting, DC Kishtwar emphasized the effectiveness of connecting the Yatra with tourism in promoting the destination and attracting more visitors. He stressed the importance of identifying tourist attractions and points of interest near the pilgrimage site, including historical sites, natural landmarks, cultural events, local markets, and recreational activities.
