DODA, May 28: The Health Department of Doda organized a large-scale health check-up and awareness camp in Village Chatta, under the HWC-Sub Centre Chata in Medical Block Ghat, recently. The camp, conducted in collaboration with BPMU NHM Ghat under the guidance of the Chief Medical Officer, was part of the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav celebration and the District Administration Doda's initiative of Adbhut Doda. Over 350 individuals participated in the camp, where they received general health check-ups, screenings for Diabetes, Hypertension, eye conditions, and TB. The department provided free examinations, collected 115 sputum samples, and distributed free medicines to the patients. Officials highlighted that these health camps aim to connect the public with health services and raise awareness about the health department's schemes. The event was organized by Mashhood Latif (BMEO), Zahid Wani (Sr Asstt.), and Zeeshan Tramboo (I/c Stores), along with the staff of HWC-SC Chata. Dr. Hamid Parray (MO PHC Gundna), Dr. Aamir Malik (MO NTPHC Sazan), Dr. Tarif Younis (MLHP HWC Chata), Arshad Latief (Lab Tech PHC Gundna), Raju Kumar (Opth. Tech PHC Ghat), Irshad Ahmed (STS DTU Doda), and local ASHAs contributed their services to the success of the camp. Additionally, experts delivered a health awareness lecture on maintaining good health and hygiene. The attendees were also educated about the transmission, symptoms, and treatment of Tuberculosis. |
