| SJVN CMD inaugurates "Sauhard-IV" under MSR | | |  Agencies
SHIMLA, May 29: Nand Lal Sharma, the Chairman & Managing Director (CMD) of SJVN, inaugurated the fourth edition of "Sauhard" as part of the My Social Responsibility (MSR) initiative. The event, held under the Swachhta Pakhwada 2023 campaign, aims to reach out to marginalized sections of society. Nand Lal Sharma introduced the concept of MSR in 2019 with the goal of making a positive impact on the lives of the less privileged.
During the inauguration, Nand Lal Sharma distributed mementos and items donated by SJVN employees to low-income outsourced workers employed by various contractors at the Corporate Headquarters in Shimla. Out of the 308 mementos distributed. Nand Lal Sharma personally contributed more than 56 mementos and gifts that he had received from external agencies, organizations, and groups during various occasions and functions.
"My Social Responsibility is our philanthropic endeavor to balance economic growth with the well-being of vulnerable sections of society. It is our duty to make a difference in the lives of the less privileged by voluntarily contributing to this noble cause and helping them in every possible way," said Sharma.
The event was attended by Geeta Kapur, Director (Personnel), Sushil Sharma, Director (Electrical), Prem Prakash, Chief Vigilance Officer, and other senior officers.
Since its inception in 2019, MSR has successfully organized three editions at the Corporate Office in Shimla, distributing over 1000 mementos and gifts to the underprivileged sections of society. Additionally, other projects and units of SJVN have also adopted MSR, organizing Sauhard events to support vulnerable individuals in their respective localities. |
