Jammu, winter capital of Jammu and Kashmir, has got a new tourist destination i.e. Jambu Zoo. It’s yet another feather in the cap of the government.
At the inaugural ceremony of the Jambu Zoo, Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha, delivered a resolute message, asserting that nothing can impede the Union Territory’s remarkable journey towards progress and development.
LG Sinha expressed optimism, emphasizing that both Jammu and Kashmir were undergoing transformative changes, leading to peace, progress, and prosperity.
He highlighted the rapid advancements across the region, stating that Jammu’s development parallels that of Kashmir. He announced upcoming projects, including a riverfront along the Tawi River and the inauguration of Bala Ji Temple on June 8. While the administration plays its part, the LG urged the people to contribute towards the region’s progress.
Jambu Zoo, the largest in North India, covers 3200 kanals of land with an investment of Rs 62.17 crore. It offers a captivating experience with a diverse range of animals, scenic viewpoints, an amphitheater, parks, and nature trails. Free entry will be granted during the first week to encourage public engagement.
