Udhampur, May 29: The Udhampur Police successfully solved two separate snatching cases reported in Udhampur.
The complaints were lodged by Radha, residing in Housing Colony, and Kapoor Chand from Kultyar, Panchari. The cases, registered as FIR No. 284/2023 and FIR No. 295/2023 respectively under Section 382 of the IPC, were investigated by police teams led by Inspector Raghubir Singh, the Station House Officer (SHO) of Udhampur Police Station. Additional SP Udhampur, Anwaar Ul Haq, and Dy. SP Hqrs Udhampur, S. Gurmeet Singh, supervised the investigation.
After intensive efforts, the police teams apprehended four suspects in connection with the cases. In FIR No. 284/2023, the suspects were identified as Sumit Suri and Antrikash Anand, residents of MH Road Udhampur. In FIR No. 295/2023, the suspects were identified as Angrez Singh from Garhi Udhampur and Arun Singh from Jib Udhampur. During the interrogation, all the suspects confessed to their involvement in the snatching incidents.
Acting on their disclosures, the police recovered the stolen items. The investigation into both cases is still ongoing. |
