 DODA, May 29: The Regional Transport Authority (RTA) has granted approval for 34 fresh Stage Carriage Permits during its meeting chaired by Deputy Commissioner Doda, Vishesh Mahajan, who serves as the Chairman of RTA. In addition to approving permits for various categories of vehicles, the meeting addressed matters pertaining to public transport in the district. The meeting was attended by SSP Abdul Qayoom (Member RTA, Doda), ADC Dr. R K Bharti, ACD Phulail Singh, ARTO Rajesh Gupta (Member Secretary, RTA), and others. A committee led by ACR (Additional Deputy Commissioner Revenue) and consisting of Dy SP Traffic, Dy SP Headquarters, ARTO, and E.O Municipal Council Doda has been constituted to designate auto-rickshaw stands at different locations in Doda Town.
The committee will also assess the feasibility of change of route applications submitted by Mini-Bus owners. The grant of fresh auto-rickshaw permits and change of route applications has been deferred until the committee submits its report. |
