Jammu, May 29: Former Forest Minister Ch. Lal Singh, Chairman DSSP, describes the inauguration of JAMBU ZOO as a significant event symbolizing the cultural history and pluralism of the Dogras.
The zoo, named after the legendary king Jambu Lochan, holds great importance in the region’s heritage. Despite facing challenges and attempts to derail the project, it has finally opened to the public. Ch. Lal Singh expresses gratitude to LG Shri Manoj Sinha for the inauguration and envisions new business opportunities for the people of Jammu, along with enhanced tourism. The zoo aims to educate the youth about the preservation of flora and fauna, and Ch. Lal Singh extends appreciation to all departments involved in making this project a reality. He also appeals to Union Minister Transport Shri Gadkari ji to prioritize the conservation of green plants along the NH and launch a massive plantation drive from Lakhanpur to Banihal to restore the region’s natural beauty. |
