CRPF, Health Deptt organize free medical camp | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, May 31: Under the guidance of Mahesh Chand Ladhha, IG Sector Jammu, Rakesh Sethi, DIG Jammu Range, and T.H.Khan, Commandant-76 Bn, the Jammu Sector CRPF and 76 Battalion CRPF collaborated with the J&K Health Department to organize a free medical camp as part of their Civic Action Programme. The camp, held at Shiv Mandir, Brahaman Mohalla, Chowadhi, Jammu, aimed to provide healthcare assistance and raise awareness about health among the local community. The medical camp witnessed the participation of two dedicated Medical Officers, Dr. S. Sowmiya from 76 Battalion, CRPF, and Dr. Arpana Sharma, who conducted free medical check-ups for approximately 160 civilians. More than 145 locals received free medicines as part of the camp. The Civic Action programme was inaugurated by Rakesh Sethi, DIG Jammu Range, who highlighted the importance of physical exercise, maintaining a healthy lifestyle, and hygiene. T.H.Khan, Commandant-76 Bn, emphasized the role of CRPF in fostering a positive relationship between the locals and the force. Notable attendees at the camp included Mahendra Singh, 2IC, Shri Karnail Singh, Deputy Commandant, and Praveen Kumar, Asstt. Comdt. of 76 Bn CRPF. The initiative received a positive response from the locals, who expressed their appreciation for the camp and urged CRPF to organize similar events in the future.
