Early Times Report UDHAMPUR, May 31: Government Degree College Neeli Nallah, Udhampur organized a poster making competition on "World No Tobacco Day" with the theme "We Need Food, Not Tobacco." Under the guidance of Prof. Hans Raj, the college principal, ten students participated in the competition, showcasing the harmful effects of tobacco through their posters. Ramneek Sharma, Rubia Khanam, and Vaishali Sharma secured the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd positions, respectively, as judged by Manisha Kanchru, Dr. Parul Chibber, and Pratibha Heer. During the event, the college principal emphasized the detrimental impact of cigarettes and other tobacco products on one's overall health. He urged students to abstain from smoking and encouraged them to raise awareness about the hazards of tobacco and support others in quitting. The principal commended the students for their participation and expressed appreciation for the organizing team, which included Prof. Swati Dutt, Dr. Radha Rani, and Prof. Shaista Yasmeen. Various faculty members were also present at the event. |
