Early Times Report JAMMU, May 31: The District e-Auction committee, led by Deputy Commissioner Avny Lavasa, successfully conducted the e-Auction of three minor mineral blocks located in the Tawi river. The Department of Geology & Mining identified 32 minor mineral blocks in the Tawi river and its tributaries in District Jammu. Out of these, clearances for seven blocks were issued by the Single Window Committee. The e-Auction for these blocks generated a record-breaking revenue of Rs. 55 Crore, with four blocks previously auctioned generating Rs. 15 Crore. During the e-Auction, M/s Choudhary Power Projects Pvt. Ltd. submitted the highest bid for Block Number 12/J and 13/J, while Sandeep Singh submitted the highest bid for Block 19/J. The e-Auction was conducted in the presence of various officials, including Dr. Gulshan Kumar, District Mineral Officer, Jammu, and H.L. Langeh, Joint Director, Geology & Mining, Jammu. The highest bidders will fulfill the necessary requirements to operationalize the blocks. The successful e-Auction of these seven minor mineral blocks has generated significant revenue for the state exchequer. Furthermore, four additional blocks have been cleared for e-Auction in the near future. This will ensure the availability of essential minor minerals at reasonable rates and accelerate the progress of ongoing government projects in Jammu and nearby districts. |
