Early Times Report RAJOURI, May 31: On the second day of the Multi-Media Exhibition on Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, G-20, Mission LiFE, Yuva Utsav, and other related themes organized by the Central Bureau of Communication (CBC) in Rajouri, Jammu and Kashmir, Mohd Arif Jatt, President of the Municipal Council, Rajouri, attended as the Chief Guest. The function was also graced by Dr. Ali Asghar Shah, Dean of Academic Affairs at Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University (BGSBU), and Ghulam Abbas Chaudhary, Joint Director of CBC and PIB J&K. Representatives from various departments including Health, Jal Shakti, Agriculture, Social Welfare, and Wildlife Protection were also present. Mohd Arif, President of the Municipal Council, Rajouri, praised the efforts of CBC for organizing the event in Rajouri. He emphasized that CBC's programs act as a bridge of information between the government and the common masses. The valuable information shared through displays and expert lectures will help local residents understand and benefit from various centrally sponsored schemes, encouraging them to become entrepreneurs. He also highlighted the role of teachers, unity in diversity, and the importance of responsible and informed citizens. Ghulam Abbas, Joint Director of CBC & PIB, J&K, stated that CBC's mandate is to disseminate information and raise awareness among the rural and urban population. The CBC utilizes exhibitions, cultural programs, seminars, expert lectures, competitions, and more to engage and educate the masses about various schemes. He advised students to take advantage of government schemes and opportunities while pursuing their studies to become self-reliant. He urged the audience to spread the message about the benefits of different centrally sponsored schemes among the common masses. During the event, resource persons from various departments gave an overview of centrally sponsored schemes related to their respective fields. Dr. Ali Asghar Shah, Dean of Academic Affairs at BGSBU, emphasized the importance of being informed and aware. The exhibition showcased India's freedom struggle through display panels, highlighting significant events such as the Revolt of 1857, Non-Cooperation Movement, Khilafat Movement, Quit India Movement, and the partition of India. A special segment also highlighted the contributions of freedom fighters from Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh. The program, conducted by Vijay Mattoo, In-charge of CBC in Poonch, included an open quiz on AKAM Mahotsav to engage the audience. Expert lectures, cultural programs, and a signature campaign were some of the attractions for the youth. Winners of the open quiz, resource persons, and guests were honored by CBC, Rajouri. |
