DDC urges timely achievement of PMAY-G, Awas plus targets | | | Early Times Report RAJOURI, June 2: District Development Commissioner (DDC) Rajouri, Vikas Kundal, conducted a meeting with the functionaries of the Rural Development Department to review the progress of the Pradhan Mantri Gramin Awas Yojana (PMAY-G) and Awas Plus schemes in the district. The objective of the meeting was to expedite the implementation of these flagship housing schemes and ensure timely completion of the set targets. Assistant Commissioner Development, Vijay Kumar, reported that significant progress has been made under PMAY-G, with the completion of 24,287 houses out of the targeted 30,394 houses in the district. Regarding Awas Plus, 4,373 houses have been completed out of the 11,103 houses allotted. The DDC emphasized the need to further accelerate progress and achieve the set targets within the shortest possible time. He emphasized the importance of using quality construction materials to ensure durable and resilient houses for the beneficiaries. The DDC also directed officers to prioritize timely payments to beneficiaries to prevent any inconvenience. The meeting was attended by Chief Planning Officer, Mohammad Khurshid; Assistant Commissioner Development, Vijay Kumar; District Information Officer, Narinder Kumar, and Block Development Officers. The District Development Commissioner expressed confidence in the dedication and commitment of the officers to achieve the goals of PMAY-G and Awas Plus. He urged them to work collaboratively, synergize their efforts, and effectively utilize local resources to expedite progress under these housing schemes. |
