Early Times Report JAMMU, June 2: In continuation of the Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan, Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan (BLSKS), in coordination with the Ministry of Social Justice and Empowerment, Government of India, Social Welfare Deptt. J&K Govt., and Sangam Tru Art Production, presented its 362nd Friday Series Dogri Musical Play "Nashe Nai Karna" at Project Model Hr. Sec. School, Janipur, Jammu. The event was directed by Dr. M.L. Dogra. A pledge was taken by more than 120 students and teachers, recited by Chahat Chadha, and the certificate from the Ministry of Social Justice was honored to the Principal of the host school. The program was inaugurated by the chief guest Vivek Sharma, Principal of Project Model Hr. Sec. School, Janipur Jammu. Seema Koul and Rupali, senior teachers of the host school, were also present as guests of honor. The day commemorated the traditional, primitive folk art and culture of the J&K region, with specially prepared items on the themes "Nasha Nai Kario Munde Kureio," "Swatch Bharat Ho," "Salam Un Shadiyo Ko," "Kali Mata Bawe basdi- Bajan," "Savdhan Savdhan ae Bhaart vasi Savdhan," and "Ab Tuhmare hwalye Watan Sathio." The performances included Nukkad, Skits, Songs, and Dances to raise awareness among the masses. Speaking during the event, chief guest Sharma highlighted the Nasha Mukat Bharat Abhiyan launched by the Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment. He emphasized the need for drug demand reduction and the identification of vulnerable districts across the country. The risk of addiction exists for everyone, and various factors contribute to its occurrence. Dr. M.L. Dogra, Chairman of Bhartiya Lok Sangeet Kala Sansthan, addressed the audience, emphasizing the withdrawal symptoms experienced by individuals attempting to quit or reduce substance abuse. He mentioned the importance of proper medical support to deal with these symptoms and achieve successful rehabilitation. K.K. Joshi, Vice Chairman of BLSKS, expressed gratitude to the volunteers and outreach workers who have educated people about the harmful effects of drug abuse and assisted in rehabilitation efforts. The performers, including singers, musicians, and actors, were applauded for their contribution to the program's success. Deepak Kumar Dogra, Program Incharge, concluded the event with a vote of thanks for the successful conduction of the program. |
