DIG holds crime, security review meeting at DPL Reasi

REASI, June 6: DIG Udhampur Reasi Range, Mohd Suleman Choudhary-IPS, recently conducted a tour of Reasi district and held a crime and security review meeting at the conference hall of District Police Lines Reasi. The meeting was attended by SSP Reasi, Amit Gupta-JKPS, Addl. SP Reasi, Master Popsy, SP Katra, Vipin Chandran, Dy.SP Hqrs, SDPOs, and SHOs of District Reasi.
During the meeting, DIG Choudhary expressed gratitude and congratulated all ranks of the Police, CAPFs, and other agencies involved in ensuring a smooth and secure G20 event. He commended their excellent work over the three days.
The meeting included a review of crime investigation, inquest proceedings, crimes against women, action against drug peddlers, bovine smugglers, and other anti-national elements on a police station-wise basis. Progress on tracing missing persons, apprehending absconders, solving theft and burglary cases, and executing court processes were also discussed. SHOs and SDPOs provided updates on the progress of cases and crime-related aspects in their respective jurisdictions. SSP Reasi presented a detailed overview of the district, highlighting the achievements of the district police and recent initiatives taken.
Officers were instructed to focus on the timely disposal of pending inquest proceedings, theft cases, and cases under the NDPS Act, among others.
The meeting also addressed matters related to land acquisition for infrastructural development projects and the implementation of welfare measures for police personnel, Special Police Officers (SPOs), and the families of martyrs.
