Early Times Report JAMMU, June 7: Thapar Institute of Engineering and Technology (TIET) has secured the prestigious first position in the Engineering category in Northern India according to the NIRF Rankings 2023. Ranked 20th in the Engineering category overall, TIET has emerged as the leading institution in Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh, and Jammu & Kashmir region. Only IIT Delhi surpasses TIET in the engineering category within the region. Furthermore, TIET achieved the 22nd rank in the University category and the second position in the region. In the Research, Management, and Overall categories, TIET secured the 34th, 49th, and 40th ranks respectively.
