Business school organises doctoral workshop

JAMMU, June 7: In an effort to enrich the research scholars from various functional areas in management, a one-day Workshop on 'E-Views' was organized by The Business School, University of Jammu. The workshop was conducted by Dr. Ritu Rana, Post Doctoral Fellow at Indian Institute of Management (IIM), who presented in-depth sessions about the E-views software and its application within the discipline of management. During the inaugural session, Dean Research Studies, Prof. Rajnikant, who was the chief guest at the event, complimented The Business School for organizing a meaningful academic venture of contemporary relevance and said that this workshop entails the objectives of NEP 2020 concerning interdisciplinary research and the need of the hour is to create new knowledge from disparate sources in the present knowledge-based society. He emphasized that a proper knowledge of research software such as E-views is important and that makes this workshop of critical importance as knowledgeable experts can share insights about how different softwares can be used in research.
Earlier Prof. Vinay Chauhan, Director, The Business School, delivered the welcome address and deliberated upon the relevance of the workshop and detailed the various themes to be covered during the workshop. Prof. Chauhan called upon the participating scholars to make the most of the workshop for undertaking quality research. Prof. Alka Sharma spoke about the relevance of learning new techniques and softwares for carrying out effective research. More than 50 scholars from different functional areas of management registered for the workshop. The workshop was also attended by the faculty of The Business School. Dr. Amisha Gupta presented a formal vote of thanks while Dr. Komal Nagar, Coordinator, Research and PhD program conducted proceedings of the event.
