| GGM Science College students visit CSIR-IIIM for skill development and research | | |  Early Times Report
JAMMU, June 7: Under the program "One Week One Lab" organized by CSIR-IIIM, a group of 100 students from GGM Science College visited CSIR-IIIM for skill development and research. The visit was organized by the Innovation and Incubation Cell along with the NSS unit of GGM Science College, under the guidance of Principal Dr. Rajesh Kumar Gupta, IIC Convenor Dr. Jagjeet Singh, and NSS PO Dr. Deepali Mahajan.
CSIR-IIIM, a premier institute located in Jammu and dedicated to drug discovery research, hosted the students. The focus of the visit was on skill development and high-end research. Dr. Deepika Singh delivered a comprehensive lecture on quality control, providing valuable insights.
During the visit, the students had the opportunity to explore instrumental labs and gain hands-on experience in handling sophisticated instruments used for advanced research in drug discovery, drug design, quality control, quality assurance of natural products, and laboratory animal techniques for preclinical research.
The primary objective of the visit was to inspire a spirit of research and innovation among the students while fostering essential skills and a scientific temperament. |
