Shri Ram Sena demands suspension of Sarore Toll Plaza | | | Early Times Report JAMMU, June 12: Shri Ram Sena, J&K unit, has expressed deep concern regarding the deteriorating condition of the National Highway from Lakhanpur to Jammu, primarily due to the ongoing six-laning project. Rajiv Mahajan, President of Shri Ram Sena's Jammu and Kashmir unit, highlighted the inconvenience faced by travelers on this vital route. He questioned the purpose of toll charges when the road infrastructure remains substandard. In response to the prevailing situation, Mahajan called for the immediate suspension of the Sarore Toll Plaza until the completion of the six-laning project. This temporary measure aims to relieve commuters and prioritize their convenience and safety during the road improvement phase. Additionally, Mahajan sought clarification from Ravinder Raina, President of BJP, J&K, regarding a letter he wrote to the Union Minister for National Highways concerning the removal of the Sarore Toll Plaza. Mahajan expressed concerns about the establishment of the toll plaza, alleging violations of toll plaza norms. He urged the Union Minister to take prompt action to abolish the Sarore Toll Plaza and enforce toll plaza norms for the benefit of the public. Shri Ram Sena remains committed to advocating for the removal of the Sarore Toll Plaza and ensuring the implementation of toll plaza regulations for the welfare of the people. |
