Mass resignation of JKTF members in Rajouri district raises concerns | | | Early Times Report
Rajouri, June 12: In a significant development, a substantial number of masters and teachers have tendered their resignations from the Jammu and Kashmir Teachers' Forum (JKTF), expressing deep discontent with the working style and attitude of the high command. The resignations come amidst allegations of neglect and an authoritarian approach by the forum's leadership. In a joint statement released by the Senior Vice President of JKTF Rajouri, Mr. Saber Chaudhary, and other members, they expressed their anguish over the high command's handling of affairs. They claimed that the forum had adopted a stubborn attitude and failed to consider the district body's opinions in important matters. The hostile behavior of the party's high command is viewed as detrimental to the forum's best interests, as the voices of its members are often ignored and unheard. The forum is witnessing an exodus in every corner of the district, with nine Zonal Presidents having already resigned due to the circumstances and the leadership's hostile attitude. A coterie surrounding the party's high command is alleged to be making irresponsible decisions, thereby damaging the forum's reputation. The process by which the President of District Rajouri is announced is deemed unconstitutional and undemocratic, as no discussion or consultation with the members took place regarding this important matter. The monopoly system within the forum has left everyone exhausted. The resigning members expressed their disappointment and stated that they had long-standing associations with the forum, dedicating their time, energy, and resources to expanding its influence in Jammu and Kashmir for the betterment of students and the teaching community. However, they felt humiliated by the treatment they received. Reading from the joint resignation letter, a senior member stated that they believed it was necessary to leave the forum in order to make a meaningful contribution towards building a positive atmosphere among the teaching community, where everyone's voice is heard and responded to. The members who resigned from the JKTF include Saber Choudhary, Gulshan Kumar, Koushal Bali, Sanjeev Kumar, Neeraj Chanda, Umesh Kumar, Amit Sharma, Rakesh Kumar, Sidharth Sapotra, Shruti Gupta, Ruchi Chibba, Ameet Kour Khajuria (Zone Rajouri), Surjeet Kumar, Vishal Sudan, Ranjit Singh, Arun Isher, Sumit Sharma, Mohd Arif, Satnam Singh, Sanjay Maini, Paul Dass, Sanjay Kumar, Mohd Asger, Sunil Kumar, Ravi Kant, Mamta Sharma, Tasvir Akhter, and Mohd Asgar (Zone Doongi). This mass resignation within the JKTF highlights growing concerns and dissatisfaction among members, urging the need for introspection and potential reforms within the organization. |
