Jammu, June 13: Delhi Public School Jammu organized a groundbreaking U.T/State Level Mega Conference on June 12, 2023, under the aegis of CBSE in collaboration with G20. The conference, attended by education experts, policymakers, teachers, and school administrators, focused on Foundational Literacy and Numeracy Program (FLN), National Education Policy (NEP-2020), and G20. With around 100 delegates from different districts of J&K, the conference provided a platform for knowledge exchange, dialogue, and collaboration. During the event, discussions revolved around innovative ideas, best practices, and challenges in education, as well as the implementation of NEP-2020 and the developments in Indian Government initiatives, including the country’s involvement in G20. The conference featured keynote addresses, expert talks, panel discussions, and engaging activities showcasing the commitment of DPS Jammu to global education and transformation in the educational landscape of J&K. The conference began with a lamp lighting ceremony and a welcome address by Ms. Ruchi Chabra, Principal of DPS Jammu. Notable speakers included Ms. Sunita Rani, Under Secretary of CBSE, Dr. Reva Sharma, Director-Trainings of J&K-IMPARD, and Padmashree Mohan Singh, a renowned Dogri Author, Producer, and Director. Additionally, students and teachers from DPS Jammu presented engaging activities such as puppet shows and presentations on FLN and NEP-2020. The event also witnessed discussions on curriculum reforms, pedagogical advancements, assessment methodologies, teacher training, and inclusive education for the effective implementation of NEP-2020. Distinguished guests expressed their gratitude to Ms. Ruchi Chabra for providing a platform for meaningful connections and insightful discussions. Dr. Kunwarani Ritu Singh, Pro-Vice Chairperson of DPS Jammu, highlighted initiatives undertaken by the school for the welfare of rural areas and announced the establishment of Digital Labs for the Visually Impaired. The conference concluded with a vote of thanks by Ms. Meenu Gupta, Headmistress of DPS Jammu, expressing appreciation to all participants and emphasizing the valuable insights gained from the conference for implementing NEP in alignment with student and societal needs. The event received accolades from the DPS Society, Govt. of J&K U.T, and School Management.
