6/14/2023 11:06:15 PM

Early Times Report

Jammu, June 14: Minister of State Defence Ajay Bhat who recently visited Jammu reportedly expressed dismay over Jammu Municipal Corporation (JMC) Mayor Rajinder Sharma and BJP J&K president Ravinder Raina not being informed about his visit.
Sources said when the Union Minister reached Nowshera Sunderbani, he was told that Raina is the former MLA of the area. Bhat, according to the sources, asked the officials why Raina was not informed about his visit. “Bhat was told that Raina would meet him in Jammu,” sources added.
They said when Bhat reached Rahgunath Mandir in Jammu to pay obeisance, he enquired about JMC, Mayor, Rajinder Sharma, who is also a BJP leader and Ravinder Raina. Bhat asked the officials why Sharma and Raina were not informed about his visit. “Next time I visit Jammu, I will ensure that my PRO informs the important people,” sources quoted Bhat as having said. Pertinently, Mayor Rajinder Sharma’s office is just two minutes away from Rahgunath Mandir and he could have easily come there but why he was not informed is a relevant question shich officials need to answer.
