Early Times Report JAMMU, June 15: A yoga demonstration and awareness session took place at the GGM Science College campus, commemorating International Yoga Day 2023. The event was organized under the patronage of Principal Prof. Rajesh Kumar Gupta and supervised by NSS Unit II Program Officer Dr. Deepali Mahajan. The coordination of the event was handled by NSS Unit II volunteer Sanchit Sharma, with the support of G20. On the second day of the workshop, which focused on the theme of "Humanity," approximately 30 NSS volunteers actively participated and showcased various yoga asanas. Yoga, an invaluable gift from India's ancient tradition, embodies the unity of mind and body, thought and action, and harmony between man and nature. It promotes a holistic approach to health and well-being. The primary objective of the yoga workshop was to establish a connection between the mind and body through the practice of yoga asanas. These events emphasized the importance of maintaining a healthy lifestyle, managing stress through meditation, and enhancing immunity through laughter yoga, as highlighted by the NSS Program Officer. |
