Gang busted, stolen valuables cash recovered | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 16: PS Gangyal in Jammu received multiple complaints regarding thefts in the areas falling under its jurisdiction. In response, special police teams were formed, led by SDPO South Sachit Sharma and assisted by SHO PS Gangyal, Inspr Ajay Singh Chib. After extensive efforts and careful examination of CCTV footage from the affected areas, the teams successfully apprehended three individuals who were suspected of involvement in the crimes. The arrested individuals have been identified as follows: 1. Mehmoob Akhter, son of the late Shams Din, residing in Billawar Ap Telli Basti Bari Brahmana. 2. Alex Mattoo, son of Kenny Matoo, residing in Telli Basti, Jammu. 3. Shakoor Ahmed, son of Mohammad Ayoob, residing in Neleo Malhar Teh Lohai, District Kathua. During the course of questioning, the accused confessed to their involvement in various cases. Based on their disclosure, the police recovered 5.5 tolas of gold items, 2 tolas of silver items, and a sum of Rs 16,200 in cash, which were identified as stolen property. It is important to note that the arrested individuals were connected to Case FIR No. 46/23 under sections 454/380 IPC, Case FIR No. 67/23 under sections 457/380 IPC, and Case FIR No. 454/380 IPC at PS Gangyal. The entire operation was conducted under the supervision of SP South Shaheen Wahid. Further investigation into the case is ongoing to gather more information and uncover any additional accomplices or details related to the crimes. |
