JKTPO, Walmart Vriddhi Organize e-Commerce Drive in Jammu | | | Early Times Report
Jammu, June 16: The Jammu and Kashmir Trade Promotion Organisation (JKTPO) organized an Onboarding Drive/Supplier Development program in collaboration with Walmart Vriddhi at Udyog Bhawan in Jammu. The event aimed to raise awareness and provide personalized advisory services to MSMEs (Micro, Small, and Medium Enterprises) in the region. The initiative was conducted under the guidance of the Commissioner Secretary of Industries and Commerce and the supervision of the Managing Director of JKTPO. The onboarding drive provided a platform for small sellers, artisans, retailers, merchants, and traders in Jammu division to become certified and digitize their businesses on Flipkart, a leading e-commerce platform. The Walmart Vriddhi team conducted one-on-one networking sessions with participants and registered them on the Walmart Vriddhi platform. The Walmart team facilitated on-spot registration and onboarding for sellers, addressing their queries related to logistics and product listing. Over 45 sellers, artisans, entrepreneurs, and representatives from FICCI FLO (Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry Ladies Organization) attended the drive. Among them, 32 participants were successfully registered and onboarded on the spot. The registered sellers represent various sectors, including Handloom and Handicrafts, Agro and Food, Beauty and Wellness, Electrical and Electronics, Apparels, Footwear, Jewellery, and Ayurvedic/Herbal products. The onboarding drive marks a significant milestone in JKTPO's ongoing efforts to promote economic growth and digital commerce in Jammu and Kashmir. These initiatives aim to raise awareness about the advantages of leveraging e-commerce platforms and enable local entrepreneurs to expand their market reach beyond traditional boundaries. |
