Jammu, June 16: In its relentless efforts to combat drug abuse, the J&K Police organized a Drug Awareness programme at Panchyat Ghar Bhour camp, Chatha. Shaheen Wahid, SP City South Jammu, addressed a public meeting with the Ummeed Cluster group Chatha, emphasizing the collective responsibility of society in tackling the escalating threat to youth posed by drugs. SP Shaheen Wahid highlighted the dual approach adopted by the J&K Police, which involves raising awareness among the public and enforcing strict laws to combat drug abuse. She urged the members of the Ummeed Cluster group to actively collaborate with the police in curbing this dangerous menace, noting that their grassroots reach would help in spreading awareness to a wider section of society. Several dignitaries also addressed the gathering, including Avtar Singh, Sarpanch Chatha Camp, Happy Singh Sarpanch Satwari, panches of Chatha Camp, Sumeet Sharma SHO Satwari, Akash Jaiswal Block Program Manager JKRLM (Umeed), and Harjinder Singh, I/C PP Chatha. |
