Jammu, June 16: In commemoration of World Red Cross Day on 14th June 2023, Indian Red Cross Society, Jammu Region organized two blood donation camps in collaboration with Govt. Medical College and Hospital, Jammu. The camps took place at JK Media Pvt. Ltd, JK Resort in Trikuta Nagar and GB Pant Hospital in Satwari, Jammu on 15th and 16th June 2023, respectively.
This year’s theme for World Blood Donor Day is “Give Blood, Give Plasma, Share Life, Share Often.”
The theme highlights the importance of blood and plasma donation for patients who require lifelong transfusion support.
It emphasizes the role that every individual can play by giving the valuable gift of blood or plasma.
The day serves as an opportunity to express gratitude towards voluntary blood donors and to celebrate life and humanity.
